Water is essential and the building block for every homestead and those that want to be prepared for an emergency.  Many times people don’t realize that a solar well pump will supply the average home pr homestead with water on a daily basis without any down time including  at night.

This is your opportunity to learn how a well functions and work hand in hand with professionals as they teach you how to install and hook up a solar well pump on your property.

In this class we will: 

Install an RPS 800 solar well pump system

Wire in an inverter

Install solar panels

Be prepared to get in and help with the install, you will get the opportunity to not only learn but be apart of the install.

Homestead/Farm Fencing

Well built fences are crucial when deciding to have livestock on your farm or homestead.  From understanding the proper kind of fencing that is needed for the livestock you have to having the know how to properly build fences that will last, we will cover it.

This is an opportunity to not only learn but to get hands on in building proper livestock fencing.  We will cover how to build proper corner braces, best practices for hanging gates and we will install both high tensile electric fencing and woven wire fencing.

Fencing materials are expensive! Don’t miss the opportunity to learn how to properly use the materials to accomplish your goals.

Work wear is recommended as this will be a hands on class.

 

Beginning Carpentry

 Everyday we hear from people wanting to learn how to use tools and how to build what they need around their home.  In this class we go through basic tools and how to use them.  We will help teach you the skills needed to build your homestead projects.

In this class we will go through: 

How to use common power tools

What tools should I own to do basic carpentry jobs

How to safely use tools

Help you gain the experience that you need to build your own projects.

Be prepared to get in and help with the install, you will get the opportunity to not only learn but be apart of the install.

**** In this class we will be building one of the following: Chicken coop, bat boxes, sitting bench or ???.  We will send out a survey prior to the class and let you vote on what will be built during the class. The goal of the class is to teach you to use the tools and knowledge to build anything you want to build on your own.  All the tools and teaching is the same regardless of what we build.****
